Joseph “Joe” Alan Pressamarita, 35, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Joseph was born in Hartford on October 12, 1980 and lived in East Hartford for most of his life. He was a graduate of East Hartford High School, Class of 1998. Joe worked for UPS for many years and was recently employed by Zoppa Studios in South Windsor. As a youth Joe played baseball for IAC, but his interest in sports was exceeded by his natural talent and love for music. At age 7 Joe began playing drums and then took up bass guitar and electric guitar. This was the beginning of his overall love for music in which he listened to, played and attended concerts, with KISS being his favorite band. His passion for music included an extensive record collection and he also was an avid comic book and coin collector. Joe had the ability to converse on any subject enthusiastically. He also was a talented cook, enjoyed fishing, golf and old TV re-runs.
Joe was a gentle, kind and giving human being who will be greatly missed by all of us who knew him.
Joe leaves behind his loving mother Anne Marie Levere Pressamarita and her husband Robert Kerr, his sister Sarah Freeman and her husband Fitzroy and their daughter Laylani Carmela, his one year old niece, who he adored.
