

Joseph J. Valenti, 91, of Bolton, beloved husband of the late Jeanette (Tripp) Valenti, peacefully passed away on Thursday (May 17, 2007) at his home surrounded by his caring and devoted family. Born in Manchester on October 25, 1915, a son of the late Michael and Serafina (Maressa) Valenti, he had resided in East Hartford for 25 years prior to moving to Bolton 30 years ago. He was a graduate of Manchester High School, a 21 year member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #1893 in Manchester, and of the Zipser Club in Manchester. Joseph was a faithful communicant of St. James Church, Manchester and a gentleman who enjoyed playing golf and the card game ""setback"". He was also a member and past-president of the Bolton Senior Citizens Club. Prior to and after his retirement, Joseph was employed as a toolmaker by Kell-Strom Tool in Wethersfield for over 30 years. Besides his beloved wife and parents Joseph was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Bellinghiri, Louise Merenino, Antoinette Valentino all formerly of Manchester, and Rose Aparo formerly of New Britain. Joseph is survived by four sons, Joseph D. Valenti of East Hartford, John M. Valenti and his wife Julie of East Hartford, James A. Valenti and his wife Cheryl of Palm Bay, FL, Jeffery F. Valenti and his wife Maggie of Tennessee; two daughters, Judith A. Rudzki and her husband Anthony of East Hartford, Jo-Ann H. Toce and her husband Dino of East Hartford; a brother, Samuel Valenti and his wife Isabel of Bolton; a sister, Angeline Bycholski and her husband Walter Sr., of Manchester; a very close and dear friend, Emilia Behling of South Windsor; 14 special grandchildren; eight adored great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 22nd at 9 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Broad Street, Manchester.
