Julio C. Reyes

Julio C. Reyes, 50, of East Hartford, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 1, 2016. Born in New York, NY on August 2, 1965 he was a resident of East Hartford for the past 30 years. Julio was a graduate of Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Class of 1985 and was a Welder for many years in the area. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and loved listening to Rock music.

Julio is survived by his mother, Gloria Maria (Vega) Davila of East Hartford with whom he resided; his father, Pedro G. Reyes of New York, NY; a son, Julio A. Reyes and his wife, Elizabeth Velazquez of Tampa, FL; four daughters, Normarie Reyes of New Britain, Cristal Liz Reyes and Cristal Marie Reyes both of East Hartford, Brenda Liz Gonzalez of Hartford; a stepson, Richard Gonzalez of Manchester; a stepdaughter, Jessica Gonzalez of New Britain; two sisters, Jeannette Reyes and her husband, Pedro, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Rivera and her husband, Juan, all of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Pedro G. Reyes, Jr. and his wife, Jackie, of Hartford, Rafael M. Mena and his wife, Evelyn, of East Hartford; five grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral service will be Friday (January 8, 2016) at 6 pm at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
