Like a shooting star, Kristen Tebecio, 43, was taken from our world on April 30, 2025. Born in Hartford, on February 6, 1982, she was the daughter of Trina Nicholson and Joseph Tebecio. She graduated from East Hartford High School, Class of 2001 and was an East Hartford resident most of her life. One of her favorite jobs was working at Procaccini’s, East Hartford, but the most rewarding was her current position as Resident Liaison at Community Resources for Justice.
Kris was larger than life: her smile, laugh, hair, earrings and sunglasses, but most of all, her heart.
Kristen’s cherished role in life was being called “Mom”. She was a mother to her son Isaiah Perry, her “road dog” and to her daughter Shaye Perry, her “shooshi girl.” Zay and Shaye were her life and the reason she overcame so many obstacles. Along with her parents and children, she also leaves behind her brother Jake Tebecio, her best friend with whom she shared an unbreakable bond, and her goddaughter Natalie “Nat” Soto. Kristen also had the best Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, Auntie-Cousins, friends and forever sisters that were more like family to her. Kristen was predeceased by her angels; Nana & Her Poppy, Grandma Chichi & Grandpa Tabby, that watched over her during her battles.
A celebration of life for Kris will be held at 6 pm on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel prior to the service from 4 – 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kristen’s name to High Watch Recovery Center, 62 Carter Rd., Kent, CT, highwatchrecovery.org or charity of donor’s choice.
