Leon Richard Brazalovich
August 30, 1935 – August 29, 2018
Leon R. “Sonny” Brazalovich, 82, of East Hartford, loving husband 0f 51 years of Pamela A. (Miller) Brazalovich, peacefully journeyed home with his caring family by his side on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Ludlow, MA on August 30, 1935, a son of the late Felix and Marjorie (Allen) Brazalovich, he had been a life-long resident of the East Hartford area. Leon was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era, and was a long-time member of the American Legion Goodale- Ramaker Post #56 of Glastonbury. A devout catholic, he was a communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford. Leon was employed as a Technical Illustrator at area corporations and retired from Otis Elevator of United Technologies Corporation. He enjoyed solving cross-word puzzles, playing card games on the computer, collecting coins, and watching his beloved New York Yankees. Along with his devoted wife Pamela, Leon is survived by two sons, Leon M. Brazalovich and Angelica Brooks of South Windsor, Jason A. Brazalovich and Stephanie Strong of East Hartford; a daughter, Amy Krzyszton and her husband, Mike, of East Hartford; three grandsons, Jason Brazalovich, Justin Brazalovich, and Logan Caplan all of East Hartford; Angelica Brooks two children, Crystal Hayes and Halie Brown both of South Windsor. He also leaves three brothers, Felix Brazalovich of East Harford, Walter Brazalovich and his wife, Dawn, of Standish, ME, Alexander Brazalovich and his wife, Stella, of Saco, ME; a sister-in-law, Gail Chase of Windsor; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral service celebrating Leon’s life will be Saturday (September 8th) at 11 a.m. at the D’ESOPO-East Harford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow at Veterans Memorial Field #2 @ Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
