

Levi L. LeBlanc, 83, of East Hartford, beloved husband of 61 years to Helen (Dutcher) LeBlanc, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 27, 1932 in Lakeburn New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Levi J. and Adelma (Savoie) LeBlanc. He moved to East Hartford in 1963 and was a bricklayer by trade. He was a parishioner of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #3901, East Hartford. Levi was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest pleasure was spending time with family, growing his garden, playing cards, and having coffee with friends. Besides his loving wife Helen, Levi is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Jim Burnham, and Debbie and Kevin Burnham all of East Hartford. ""Pere"" leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Maegan Senerth, Donald Burnham and his wife, Tricia, Kelly Burdge and her husband, Christopher, and Tom Burnham; one great-grandson, Julian. He also leaves behind his sister, Rita Melanson in Canada, as well as many nieces and nephews who were very special to him. Along with his parents, Levi was predeceased by his only son, David LeBlanc of East Hartford; his brothers, Laurie, Alban, Henri, Edgar, and Herve LeBlanc; and his sisters, Jeanne Belliveau and Dorice Belliveau. Funeral service will be Wednesday (June 10th) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 am at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. (Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on Wednesday morning). Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, (Section R-2), Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Tuesday (June 9th) from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Levi's name may be made to the American Heart Association -CT Chapter, 5 Brookside Drive, P.O. Box 5022, Wallingford, CT 06492-5022.
