
Lillian 'Aunt Mae' (Robinson) Burrell, 99, of East Hartford and formerly of Bolton, peacefully journeyed home into Paradise on Wednesday, (March 11, 2009) with her caring family by her side at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Jamaica, she had been a resident of the area since 2002. Aunt Mae was a caring woman who enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and sewing various blankets and clothing for her family and friends. She also enjoyed singing and being a member of the choirs at churches she would attend. Aunt Mae was predeceased by her husband, Sydney Levy Burrell; and two sons, Charles Russell and Franklin Burrell. Mrs. Burrell is survived by four loving children, Virginia C. Jones of Bolton, Sylvia Ming and her husband, Owen, of England, James Russell of Jamaica, Herman Russell and his wife, Gwelda, of England; 20 adored grandchildren; 18 dear great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be Friday, March 20th at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Community Cathedral, East Hartford. Burial will be at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
