

Loretta Rachel (Gagnon) St. Laurent, 90, of Glastonbury, loving wife of the late Everett C. Vaillancourt and the late Roger St. Laurent, entered into eternal rest on Saturday (September 19, 2015) with her family by her side. She was born in Madawaska, ME on December 22, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Bouchard) Gagnon. Loretta worked for Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford for many years. She enjoyed playing card, fishing, bowling and spending time at the beach with family and friends. Loretta is survived by her devoted children, Robert Vaillancourt and his wife Rose of Glastonbury, and Diane Edwards and her husband Henry of Ellington; her sister Anita Morneault of Dunedin, FL; her grandson Kevin Vaillancourt and his wife Meghan of Hudson, OH, and her adored great-grandchildren, Carter, Tyler and Jordan. She is also survived by her step grandchildren, Henry Edwards, Jr. and his wife Lauren and Russell Edwards and his wife Kerin, all of Ellington; her step great-grandchildren, Megan, Justin and Lindsey; her special niece, Jill Hurley and her husband Tom of East Hartford and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Loretta was predeceased by six brothers and five sisters A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday (September 24) at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Everyone is asked to please go directly to church. The burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, West Harford.
