
Lorraine Angelo Kenyon Young, 83, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Robert Young, entered into eternal rest with her loving family by her side on August 31, 2010 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was born in Hartford on October 30, 1926, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Esther (McWilliams) Angelo. She was an active member of the South End Senior Center, water aerobics, Red Hat Society, book club and volunteered at the East Hartford Public Library for over 20 years. Lorraine is survived by her three daughters, Linda and her husband Ron Durie of Westbrook, Laurie and her husband Alan Strimaitis of Marlborough and Patricia and her husband Roger St. Pierre of Ann Arbor, MI. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Patricia Angelo of Glastonbury. Besides her husband and parents, Lorraine was predeceased by two brothers, James Angelo and Michael Angelo. Her family would also like to remember Doris Angelo, George Davis and Dave and Holly Fregin. Funeral services will leave Saturday (September 4) at 9:45 a.m. from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Christopher's Church, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
