Lucy (Cassarino) Kamm, 88, of Manchester, loving wife of 56 years of the late Raymond “Skip” Kamm, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Manchester Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Hartford on January 5, 1933, a daughter of the late Santo and Lucy (DiMauro) Cassarino, she had resided in Manchester for the past 62 years. Lucy was a graduate of East Hartford High School, class of 1951. She enjoyed line-dancing at the East Hartford Senior Center, playing cards, playing bingo every Tuesday evening, reading the newspaper, and visiting area casinos. She also was an avid fan of UConn basketball (both men and women teams). Lucy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who took great pride in her home and cherished cooking and entertaining at her home for family and friends to gather together to enjoy holidays and special parties.
Lucy is survived by her three beloved daughters, Sandra Entwistle and her husband Jack of Manchester, Carol Kamm and her significant other, Alan Fanelli, of East Lyme, and Christine Kamm of Woodstock, VT. She also leaves three special grandchildren, Leah Domijan and her husband Fred of Vernon, Tom Entwistle and his wife Shannon of Coventry, Ashley Davidson and her husband Clark of Keeseville, NY; three adored great-grandchildren, Taylor Trentowski and Jay Domijan both of Vernon, Natalie Entwistle of Coventry; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Besides her husband and parents, Lucy was predeceased by her two brothers and one sister.
A graveside service will be Monday (March 1, 2021) at 12 noon at Silver Lane Cemetery, (Section H), East Hartford. Due to the current health pandemic everyone is asked to please wear a face covering and adhere to all of the CDC and cemetery regulations. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lucy’s name may be made to a favorite charity of the donor’s choice. The D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
