Maria Arlete DaCosta

Maria Arlete (Dos Santos) DaCosta, 72, of Pinellas Park, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Born in Santos, state of Sao Paulo, Brazil on June 13, 1945, a daughter of the late Jose and Maria Amélia (Cabral) Dos Santos, she was a proud wife, mother, and home maker.

Maria is survived by her husband, Daniel DaCosta of Pinellas Park, FL; a son, Joe DaCosta and his wife, Dora, of Pinellas Park, FL; and a special grandson, Joseph DaCosta of Pinellas Park, FL. She also leaves two sisters, Rosa Monteiro and her husband, Jorge, of East Hartford, Maria Conceiçáo Goncalves of Portugal; two brothers, Antonio Cabral Dos Santos and Adelmo Cabral Dos Santos; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday (March 29th) with a procession forming at 10:30 am from the D’ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford followed by a graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery, (Section K), Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday (March 28th) from 3 – 7 pm. Memorial contributions in Maria’s name may be made to a favorite charity of the donor’s choice.
