Maria Leticia “Letty” Maisonet, 72, of Manchester and formerly of Hartford, entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on August 24, 1953, a daughter of the late Candelario and Pastora (Matos) Maisonet, she had been a resident of Hartford for over 55 years prior to moving to Manchester three years ago. Maria attended Hartford Public High School and was a woman of strong faith. She was an active member of the Christian Pentecostal House of God to the Heavens Church in New Britain and formerly in Manchester.
Maria was an excellent cook who was always willing to cook for her family and others to enjoy. She looked forward to having family over for her Sunday dinners and holiday festivities. She liked plants and taking care of all of them throughout her home and yard. Most of all, she was a devoted family woman who loved babysitting and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four loving daughters, Wanda I. Molina of Hartford, Lilybell Molina of Manchester, Kathleen Molina of Naugatuck, and Nancy of Hartford; two brothers, Jose Maisonet and his wife Margo of Hartford, Eduardo Olivo of Tennessee; two sisters, Alejandrina Maisonet of Hartford, Maria Julia Olivo of Hartford; seven cherished grandchildren; thirteen adored great-grandchildren; many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral service will be Friday (January 9, 2026) at 11 am at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with Pastor Miguel Davila officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel in East Hartford on Friday morning (January 9th) from 10 – 11 am.
