Maria Clark (Parente)

Maria L. (Parente) Clark, 89, of Hebron and formerly of East Hartford, passed away and entered into eternal life on Thursday, (March 21, 2013), at the Marlborough Health Care Center. Maria was the loving wife of the late Richard N. Clark. Born in Hartford on June 20, 1923, a daughter of the late Nunzio and Rose Parente, she resided in East Hartford for 32 years prior to moving to Hebron 30 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for over 20 years by the former Finest Bakery Company, East Hartford. Maria was an avid gardener of flowers who also liked to knit, crochet, and sew. She was also a talented artist who specialized in ""sketching"". She also enjoyed dancing and watching her favorite soap-operas. Besides her beloved husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Debra M. Clark of Key West, FL; two brothers, Fiore Parente and Armondo Parente; and two sisters, Gilda Miele and Vera DiCandio. Maria is survived by a son, Gary R. Clark of East Windsor; a daughter, Rosanna Veilleux and her husband, Lawrence, of Hebron; four special grandchildren, Richard Veilleux and his wife, Julie, of Hebron, Danielle Batchelder and her husband, Andrew, of Farmington, Sean Clark and Ashley of Enfield, Brandon Clark of Enfield; and seven adored great-grandchildren, Mattingly, Max, Ryan, Brynley, Sam, Olivia, and Noah. She also leaves a sister, Josephine Ficaro of Newington; a sister-in-law, Carla Parente of East Hartford; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 25, at 12 p.m. at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
