Marie Rita (meunier) Burbank

Marie Rita (Meunier) Burbank, 82, of East Hartford, loving wife of Melvin L. Burbank, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Johnson Memorial Hospital.  Born in Killingly on September 25, 1925, she had resided in East Hartford for the past 62 years. She was a member of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford, the Red Hat Club, and the South End Senior Citizens of East Hartford. She also was an avid knitter and proud homemaker.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Campbell of East Hartford. Besides her devoted husband of 63 years, Mrs. Burbank is survived by two sons, Thomas Burbank and his wife, Lillian, of Enfield, Kenneth Burbank of East Hartford; a daughter, Donna Ryan of Alleghany, N.Y.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service will be Thursday, March 13, at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford. Burial will be at Hazardville Cemetery, corner of Elm and North St., Enfield.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions in Marie's memory may be made to the Johnson Memorial Hospital Building Fund, 201 Chestnut Hill Rd., P.O.
