
Mark Edward Stumpf, 58, of Manchester and formerly of East Hartford, passed away Friday (September 2, 2011). He was born August 7, 1953 in Miami, FL the son of Edward Stumpf of St. Albans, VT and the late Pauline (Gates) Stumpf. Prior to his retirement, Mark was employed by the Town of East Hartford, Public Works Department. He was an avid fisherman, loved animals and was a huge Boston Red Sox fan. He also enjoyed helping, and being involved in the community. In addition to his father, Mark is survived by a son Jason Stumpf and his wife Karen of Farmington, a brother Scott Stumpf of St. Albans, VT, an Aunt Ann Kralik of South Windsor, a niece, a nephew and several extended family members and friends.
Calling hours will be Wednesday(September 7th) from 5-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Memorial services and burial will be private in Vermont. Mark's family would like to extend special thanks to the staff in the critical care unit at Manchester Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.
