Patricia (madore) Groskritz

Patricia L. (Madore) Groskritz, 70, of East Hartford, loving wife of over fifty-one years to Robert Groskritz, journeyed home to Heaven on Friday, (July 24, 2009) at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford on October 2, 1938, a daughter of the late Paul and Teresa Madore, she had resided in East Hartford for the past thirty-seven years. Patricia was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1956. Patricia enjoyed playing Bingo and was a regular at St. Isaac Jogues Church on Thursday evenings. She also liked to crochet and made several blankets and place mats. However, Patricia was most proud of being a good homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her immediate family. Along with her beloved husband, Robert, Patricia is survived by a son, Mark A. Groskritz and his wife, Michelle, of Rockville; three daughters, Cindy L. Brown and her husband, Jeffrey, of Manchester, Lisa A. Smith and her husband, Charles, of Amston, Terri A. Ginsberg and her husband, Randy, of Enfield; a brother, Leon Madore of South Windsor; eight adored grandchildren, Benjamin Brown and his wife, Michelle, Joshua and Rebekah Brown, Anthony Sargenti, Jr. and his fiancée, Stacey, Zachary Sargenti, Alex and Amy Ginsberg, Luke McCleary; two adored great-grandchildren, Anthony Sargenti, III and Nicole Lynn Brown; and her beloved cat, Sylvester. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 28 at 9 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Church, One Community Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery (Section C), East Hartford.
