Patricia C. Mulholland (Serignese)

Patricia C. (Serignese) Mulholland, 73, of East Hartford, loving wife of 30 years of the late William M. Mulholland, peacefully journeyed Home on Sunday, (May 13, 2012) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Hartford on March 22, 1939, a daughter of the late Dominick J. and Amelia (Majeska) Serignese, she had been a life-long resident of East Hartford. Patty was a graduate of Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Class of 1957 and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church, East Hartford. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 25 years as a receptionist by the Town of East Hartford. Pat was a member of Our Lady of Peace Retirees Club, Daughters of Isabella in Manchester, Red Hat Ladies Club of Manchester, Italian Ladies Club of Newington, Newington AARP Club, and the South End Senior Center n East Hartford. Pat also enjoyed playing cards on Sundays with her friends, playing bingo, and cooking for family and friends. Patricia is survived by two sons, James M. Mulholland and his wife, Dorene, of East Hartford with whom she made her home, William M. Mulholland of Green Bay, WI; three special grandchildren, Haeley Mulholland, Maegen Mulholland, and Matthew Mulholland. She also leaves her long-time best friend, Rosie Pelson and her husband, Stanley, of Hartford; a nephew, Dominick Brescia and his wife, Mary Ann, of Willington and their three children, DJ, Cierra, and Alaina Guiette and her husband, Steve; a nephew, John Brescia and his wife, Kate, of Pompano Beach, FL; and many dear friends and former co-workers.

Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in Patricia's name may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The D'Esopolland-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
