

Paul Collazo, 55, of Berlin and formerly of East Hartford, peacefully journeyed Home to be with his father and brother in Heaven with our Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, with his daughter by his side at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on February 8, 1971, he was a graduate of East Hartford High School, Class of 1988. He attended Eastern Connecticut State University and later earned his associate’s degree from Charter Oak College in Hartford. Paul was employed by Day, Berry, & Howard Law Firm in Hartford for over 16 years and then went on to become a massage therapist. He loved golfing and playing poker with his family and friends. Paul was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys. He especially enjoyed camping with his daughter and friends at Misquamicut Beach in Westerly, RI. Most of all, Paul was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend to his loved ones.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Brianna M. Collazo of East Hartford; his mother, Carmen M. (Garcia) Collazo and her husband William G. Aloisa of East Hartford; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Paul was predeceased by his father, Evangelio Collazo, Sr.; and his brother, Evangelio “Nuny” “Evan” Collazo, Jr. of Newington.
Funeral service will be Wednesday (July 1, 2026) at 12 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, (Section 22 – Crucifixion), Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield.
