

Rabindranauth “Ranji” Ramdular, 69, of East Hartford, loving husband of over 17 years to Julia Selormey-Ramdular, died peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in Guyana, South America on October 30, 1956, a son of the late Bajranj and Sugpatti (Singh) Ramdular, he had been a resident of East Hartford for the past twenty years. Ranji was employed for several years as a machine operator for DST Output in South Windsor (a commercial print and mail processing facility). A very talented individual, he enjoyed repairing and working on automobiles for his family and friends. He also liked watching soccer, television, listening to the news, and cooking. Most of all, he was a hard worker who cherished his time spent with his family and close friends.
Along with his beloved wife, Ranji is survived by a brother, Haimchand Ramdular of Orlando, FL; a sister, Savitri Mahadeo of New York; a stepdaughter, Anthoinette Agyemang of East Hartford; and two stepsons, Julius Hedihor of Ghana, and Benjamin Agyemang of Minnesota. He also leaves two brothers-in-law, Cornelius Selormey and Kilian Selormey both of Ghana; two sisters-in-law, Emily Selormey and Florence Selormey both of Ghana; several nieces, nephews, cousins, former co-workers, and dear friends.
Funeral service celebrating Ranji’s life will be Saturday (September 5th) at 11 am at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning from 10 – 11 am. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
