Ray was born in Roanoke, Virginia on February 7, 1961, and lived in East Hartford for many years. He graduated from Center School, East Hartford High School, and the University of Connecticut. Raymond loved music, movies, karaoke, sports, Shakespeare, and people. He was a strong athlete, dynamic singer, published poet, avid photographer, and traveler. His friends and family will remember his beaming smile, kindness, beautiful heart, and devotion.
Ray is survived by his love and girlfriend, Barbara Laius of Southington; his parents, Frank and Gretchen Tedeschi of East Hartford; brother, Mike Tedeschi and wife, Marsha, of Iowa; brother, James Tedeschi of Portland; and brother, John Tedeschi and husband, Joel Levi, of New York.
Funeral service will be Wednesday (December 19th) at 10:30 am from the D’ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 am at St. Mary’s Church of the North American Martyrs parish, corner of Main Street/Maplewood Avenue, East Hartford. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday morning from 9 – 10:30 am.
