

Rita (Schach) Embleton, 59, of East Hartford, peacefully passed away with her caring family by her side on Monday, (November 1, 2010) at her home. Rita was the loving wife of thirty-eight years to Alan J. Embleton. Born in Hartford on March 11, 1951 she was a daughter of the late Richard and Edith (Rotondo) Schach. Rita grew up in Hartford, graduated from Hartford Public High School, Class of 1969, and has been a resident of East Hartford for the past thirty-eight years. Rita was formerly employed as a Secretary at the YMCA in East Hartford where she worked for over fifteen years. Rita was a faithful and active member of the First Congregational Church UCC of East Hartford. She was an animal lover who volunteered for several hours at the East Hartford Animal Rescue Center. She was also a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed shopping and cooking for her family. Besides her beloved husband, Alan, Rita is survived by a daughter, Laura A. McLaughlin and her husband, Adam, and their two children, Tyler and Karlee McLaughlin all of South Windsor; a son, Sean A. Embleton of East Hartford; two brothers, Richard Schach of East Hartford, Paul Schach of San Francisco, CA; her aunt, Louise (Schach) Hall of Manchester; a brother-in-law, Brian Embleton and his wife, Judy, of Orleans, MA; three nieces, Beth Madden and her husband, Tim, Amy Williams and her husband, Brian, Carrie Pericola and her husband, Steve; a life-long dear friend, Lynne Calabro of East Hartford; and several other friends and former co-workers. A Memorial Service will be Friday (November 5, 2010) at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church UCC of East Hartford, 837 Main Street, East Hartford with the Rev. Dr. Theodore H. Mosebach officiating. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
