

Robert ""Bobby"" J. Campise, 75, of East Hartford beloved husband of 28 years of Linda (Doucette) Campise, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, (September 26, 2012) at Manchester Memorial Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Born in Hartford on April 3, 1937, a son of the late Jack and Helen (Kavalski) Campise, he had been a resident of East Hartford since 1965. Bobby worked at Hamilton Standard, Windsor Locks for over ten years, Stroemann's Bakery, East Hartford for fifteen years, and the city of Hartford-Board of Education for the past 21 years. Bobby loved to swim and play tennis and was an avid loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and New York Giants. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, John Campise of California; and a dear friend, John ""Jack"" Madigan of Milford who was like a father to Bobby. Along with his loving wife Linda, Bobby is survived by two sons, Jack D. Campise and his wife, Dorothy, of Ellington, Robert John Campise, Jr. and his wife, Donna, of South Glastonbury; a step-daughter, Lisa A. Doucette and her fiancée, Joseph DeRosa, of Windsor Locks; a step-son, Todd Doucette residing out of state; nine special grandchildren, Jamie Choate, Alison Choate, Jacky Campise, Spencer Campise, Tyler Campise, Matthew Campise, Michael Lenares, Joseph Lenares, Jesse Porter; and one great-granddaughter, Evelina Porter. He also leaves two sisters, Joanne Carrasco and her husband, Raymond, of Florida, Patricia Amenta and her husband, Richard, of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Cynthia Campise of California; an aunt, Lillian Ratti of East Hartford; a very special niece, Linda Bushey of East Hartford; several other nieces, nephews, friends, and his dear dogs.
Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to the American Cancer Society , 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
