

Born in Manchester on June 24, 1967, he was the son of the late Robert F. Ruddy Jr. and Gail (Lawrence) Ruddy. Rob was a graduate of Lyman Memorial High School in Lebanon, Connecticut, Class of 1985.
Rob was a hardworking and dedicated man who owned and operated his own roofing business and formerly ran All Weather Restoration. He was always there to offer a helping hand to friends and family. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on his vehicles, spending time with friends and vacationing in Florida. Above all else, Rob was a devoted father, grandfather known as “Pop”, brother, and a loyal friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rob is survived by his cherished son, Robert Francis Ruddy IV, and his wife Marissa of Griswold; and his two adored grandchildren, Robert “Robbie” Francis Ruddy V and Charlotte “Charlie” Gail Ruddy. He also leaves behind his two sisters, Kim DeRoehn and her husband David of Lebanon, and Chantelle Donovan Ruddy of East Hartford. He is further survived by his nieces Carlee DeRoehn and Chaniyah Donovan, his nephew Christopher DeRoehn, along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Rob was predeceased by his three brothers, Christopher Ruddy, Brett Donovan Ruddy, and Scott Ruddy.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 3:30 pm – 6 pm with personal stories shared by friends at 6 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. A service to celebrate Rob’s life will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Buckingham Congregational Church, 16 Cricket Lane, Glastonbury, CT 06033.
