

Salvacion A. ""Mama"" Casaol, 89, of East Hartford entered eternal life, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home on Sunday (February 19, 2012). She was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Herman R. Casaol, Sr. Salvacion was born in Balogo, Oas, Albay, Philippines to the late Pedro and Placida Antiquiera. She was predeceased by her daughter, Delia C. Cascia and two sisters in the Philippines. Salvacion was a homemaker and her greatest joy was to care for her 32 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and gardening. She is survived by her four sons and their spouses: Elmer and Yoli Casaol of E. Hartford; Danny and Sonia Estrada of Las Vegas, NV; Herman, Jr. and Lea Casaol of E. Hartford; and Fil and Malou Casaol of E. Windsor. She is also survived by her six daughters and their spouses: Leilany and Job Palaya of Middletown, RI; Ruby and Rudy Abalos of E. Hartford; Nitz and Jeff Alton of Glastonbury; Lenore and Robert Racine of E. Hartford; Marie and Elvie Cantillo of E. Hartford; and Vangie and Ed Olayon of Amston.
Relatives and friends will be received by her family during calling hours on Friday, February 24, from 4-7 p.m. at D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., E. Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Salvacion's life will be held on Saturday, February 25 at 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 36 Cambridge Dr., East Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
