

Samuel Robles Maldonado, 65, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Born on April 23, 1960, in Ciales, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Francisco Robles Garcia and Ana D. Maldonado.
In 1987, Samuel and his wife, Iris, moved from Puerto Rico to the United States to raise their family. They lived in East Hartford and most recently settled in Manchester. Prior to his retirement, Samuel worked as an auto mechanic.
In his free time, Samuel enjoyed traveling and going on scenic drives with his wife. He cherished spending time at his son’s shop and proudly supported his grandchildren as their number one fan. Samuel was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend. His family meant the world to him.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Iris Serrano of Manchester; his three devoted children: Samuel Robles Serrano of South Windsor, Joan Robles of Hartford, and Brendaliz Robles of Broad Brook; and his nine beloved grandchildren: Emily, Jose, Delilah, Maximus, Eliel, Natalie, Xavyer, Jadyel, and Izaiah. He also leaves behind his siblings: Francisco Robles Maldonado, Rafael Robles Maldonado, and Juana Robles Maldonado; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Samuel was predeceased by his brother, Moises Robles Maldonado.
A service to honor Samuel’s life will be held on Friday, October 17, at 12 pm at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 11 am – 12 pm at the funeral chapel.
