Sandra (Phillips) Tofil, 76, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Donald Tofil, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenfield, MA on November 15, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Phillips and the late Rita (Fortin) Sevene. Sandra graduated from Greenfield High School, class of 1963 and attended Greenfield Community College. She retired from Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center after 30+ years of dedicated service. Ever since her childhood she loved riding and caring for horses, collecting pigs, playing video games, country music, gardening and watching Animal Planet; but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family.A loving mother and grandmother, Sandra will be forever missed by her two sons, Todd Tofil and Corinne Robar of East Hartford and Paul Tofil of East Hartford and her three adored grandchildren, Brittney, Jared and Lucas Tofil and two brothers, Brian Phillips and wife Marilyn and Paul Sevene; her niece, Tamara Sevene along with her beloved children, Sahmya, Johnathan and Scarlett, her nephew, Stuart Sevene; lifelong friend Barbara LoDico; Evelyn Shaughnessy, Melissa and Michael McCabe as well as several other nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Sandra was predeceased by her beloved son, Mark Tofil and her brother, Stuart Phillips and her stepfather, James Sevene.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 29th 11 a.m. at Silver Lane Cemetery, 1312 Silver Lane, East Hartford.
