Sandy A. (Wells) Kershaw

Sandy A. (Wells) Kershaw, 70, of Manchester, loving wife of 47 years of Stephen F. Kershaw, peacefully passed away with her caring family by her side on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford after a long illness. Born in Springfield, MA on February 6, 1944, a daughter of the late Frederick J. and Charlene F. (Wood) Wells, she had been a resident of Manchester since 1975. Sandy grew up in the Rockville/Vernon area and was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1962. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, and sports and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Most of all, Sandy was a proud and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending quality time with her family. Besides her beloved husband, Stephen, Sandy is survived by four sons, Shawn W. Kershaw and his wife, Joanne, of Tolland, Shane W. Kershaw of Manchester, Shamus W. Kershaw of Bolton, Seth W. Kershaw and his wife, Shari, of Cocoa Plum Creek, FL; three brothers, Roger Wells in North Carolina, Danny Wells in Texas, Ricky Wells in Florida; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral service will be Friday (October 24th) at 6:30 pm at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Friday from 4 - 6:30 pm. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
