Sheryl Lynne Berube

Sheryl Lynne Berube, 64, of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Raymond Berube, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Hartford on July 25, 1957, she was the beloved daughter of Doris (Boucher) Nordstrom of East Hartford and the late Robert Nordstrom. Sheryl grew up in East Hartford and graduated from Penney High School. She worked as a payroll supervisor at Aetna for many years, and for the last 14 years as a cashier at Stop & Shop in South Windsor. Her greatest joys in life were the years she shared with her loving husband, Ray, and her beloved dog Willie (deceased), cooking for family and friends, and playing cards and games with her Hillcrest neighbors.

In addition to her mother Doris, Sheryl will be forever missed by her sister, Theresa Savage and husband James of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two nephews, Aaron Savage and partner Myria Johnson and Nathan Savage and wife Rabecca; her niece, Katherine Pollard and husband Nathan; her great-niece, Ava, and many extended family members and friends. Sherry’s strength, candor, infectious humor, and love enriched the lives of everyone who knew her.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, May 9 from 4-6 p.m. at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will be private.
