Simonne M. Reno

Simonne M. Reno, 71, of Hartford, passed away on March 20, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. Simonne was born in Newark, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Andre F. Reno and the late E. Margaret (MacDonald) Church, and was a Hartford resident for most of her life. She also resided in Florida and Massena, NY where she spent many summers with her late grandparents Alexander and Nellie (Dignean) MacDonald. Simonne graduated from Hall High School, West Hartford, Class of 1962 and H.A.R.T Technical School. Simonne had worked for many years at the former Merrow Sewing Machine Company in Newington. She liked all animals and will be missed by her cat, Clyde. Simonne is survived by two brothers, Jacques H. Reno and his wife Teresa of East Hartford, Jeffrey Moulton and his wife Laurie of Tennessee; two sisters, Andree Sanborn and her husband John, Camille Bisson and her husband Malcolm, all of Vermont; a former sister-in-law and care giver, Marcia Reno of West Hartford; several nieces and nephews. Per Simonne's wishes there will be no funeral or calling hours. The D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial donations in Simonne's memory may be made to your favorite animal shelter.
