Stella J. Yefko (Mastalerz)

Stella J. (Mastalerz) Yefko, 89, of East Hartford, loving wife for over 57 years to the late Aloizy W. Yefko, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, (November 8, 2011) at St. Mary's Home, West Hartford. Born in Wilbraham, MA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Sophie (Milkosc) Mastalerz, she had been a resident of East Hartford for over 60 years. Prior to her retirement in 1976, she was an employee of the U.S. Government for 30 years. She was a long-time communicant of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church, Hartford since 1942, and enjoyed gardening, traveling, and going fishing with her late husband, Aloizy. Besides her husband and parents, Stella was predeceased by two sisters, Anna ""Joyce"" Cellilli and Josephine Zerdecki; and a brother, Joseph A. Mastalerz. She is survived by a dedicated nephew and his wife, Lawrence and Diane Cellilli of Westfield, MA who were her caregivers; several other nieces and nephews; dear friends; and her dog, Allie.

Funeral services will be Saturday (November 12th) at 11:30 am at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery (Section E), East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning from 10:30-11:30 am.
