

Stephen “Steve” F. Kershaw, Jr., 75, of Manchester, husband of 45 years of the late Sandra (Wells) Kershaw, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Hartford on October 26, 1940, a son of the late Stephen F. and Mary Kershaw, he had been a resident of Manchester since 1975. Steve was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement he was a truck driver for 50 years for area freight companies. Steve liked NASCAR racing, bowling, fishing, and hunting.
Steve is survived by four sons, Shawn W. Kershaw and his wife Joanne of Tolland, Shane W. Kershaw of Manchester, Shamus W. Kershaw of Manchester, Seth W. Kershaw and his wife Shari of Boca Raton, FL; and six special grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, Bernie Kershaw and his wife Caroline of Enfield; a sister, Carol Fiora in Florida; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral service will be Monday (May 2, 2016) at 11 am at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial with military honors will follow at Hillstown Cemetery-Veteran’s Field, Hillstown Road, Manchester. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Monday morning from 10-11 am.
