
Sue M. Golino, 95, of Manchester and formerly of East Hartford, died Tuesday, (September 29, 2009) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Hartford on July 2, 1914, a daughter of the late Joseph and Nunziata (Floridia) Golino, Sue had resided in East Hartford for over seventy years prior to moving to The Arbors three years ago. Sue was a graduate of East Hartford High School and a former communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford where she was a member of their Ladies Guild. Most recently, Sue had been a communicant of the Church of The Assumption in Manchester. Prior to her retirement in 1978, Sue was employed by Connecticut General Insurance Company in Bloomfield for forty-one years, retiring as a supervisor. Sue was an avid baker (especially Italian cookies), and loved to sew and crochet. Along with her loving parents, Sue was predeceased by her beloved brother and his wife, Dr. Emanuel F. and Agnes Golino of East Hartford. Sue is survived by a niece, Anne Riczko and her husband, John, of Randolph, NJ; three nephews, Joseph W. Golino and his wife, Elaine, of Vernon, John F. Golino and his wife, Amy, of Merrimack, NH, David A. Golino and his wife, Jane, of Hebron; many great-nieces and great-nephews, Theresa, Michelle, Andrea, and Valerie Golino; James, Brian, and Leanne Golino; Jonathan and Sarah Riczko; Samuel, Madelyn, and John Golino; as well as several dear friends and former co-workers. Funeral services will be Friday, October 2nd with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of The Assumption, 29 South Adams Street, Manchester. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery (Section J), Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on Friday morning.
