Susan Beth Round (Rioux)

Susan Beth (Rioux) Round passed away on August 3, 2012 with her husband John Round by her side in Hartford, CT. Susan was born in Southington, CT to Rita (MacPherson) Rioux and the late Robert Rioux; and lived in Germany and Ethiopia as a child until her family moved to Bristol, CT where she graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 1971. Susan worked as a Medical Technologist at Hartford Hospital for 10 years until she raised her daughter, Kia Round. Susan leaves her husband, Dr. John Round of Hartford, CT and Charlestown, RI; her daughter Kia Round of Warren, RI; her mother, Rita Rioux; her sister, Robin Chard; and her aunt Rosemarie “Chris” Cristofaro all of Bristol, CT; her mother-in-law Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Dwyer Round of Glens Falls, NY; her brother-in-laws and their wives Mark and Dale Round of Warrensburg, NY; James and Patty Round; Chris and Denise Round; and Nick and Terri Round all of Glens Falls, NY; and her sister-in-law and husband Martha and Tony Summa of Syracuse, NY; and several nieces and nephews; and friends.

Services will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, CT from 4-7 PM. A reception at The Gallery, 141 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT will follow from 7:30-9:30 PM.
