Sylvie (Lachance) Roberts

Sylvie (Lachance) Roberts, 66, of East Hartford, beloved wife for 45 years of David Roberts Jr., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Born in Canada on April 12, 1951, she was the daughter of Lucienne M. (Gosselin) Lachance of East Hartford and the late Gerard J. Lachance. Sylvie was a graduate of Penny High School. She worked at the Denny’s Restaurant in Wethersfield for over 20 years, where she made many friends and had many loyal customers. She was a dedicated parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in East Hartford. Sylvie will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Besides her devoted husband David Roberts, she is survived by her son, David Roberts and his wife Daphne Roberts of Ellington; her daughter, Cindy Roberts and her husband Gordon Dart of East Hartford and her four adored granddaughters, Samantha Roberts, Jennah Smith, Alyssa Roberts and Maya Dart. Sylvie also leaves three brothers and four sisters as well as many nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday (August 26) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St. East Hartford. Burial will be private.
