Timothy "Tim" John Fagan

Timothy “Tim” J. Fagan, 72, of Manchester, loving husband of 25 years to Hyeonsuk Son, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Manchester Memorial Hospital after living with Parkinson’s disease for several years. Born in Hartford on May 6, 1954, a son of the late Martin F. and Amelia J. (Konieczny) Fagan, he had been a resident of East Hartford for 15 years prior to living in Glastonbury and finally settling in Manchester in 2003. Tim attended school in Hartford and was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, class of 1972. Tim was a talented Drywall Finisher and a longtime member of the Painters Local Union 481 in Middletown, where he also served as an instructor, sharing his knowledge and experience in the trade with others.

An avid outdoorsman, Tim truly enjoyed fishing whenever he could, hunting, hiking, and biking. He liked traveling and camping in his camper at several national parks throughout the United States. He also served as a Scoutmaster for his son’s troop, sharing his love of camping and the outdoors with a younger generation. Tim was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his time spent with his family.

In addition to his beloved wife, Tim is survived by a son, Christopher M. Fagan and his wife Kaitlyn of South Windsor; his two adored grandchildren, Emma J. Fagan and Nathan E. Fagan, both of South Windsor; two stepdaughters, Yoohee Kim and her husband Jason of Mesa, AZ; and Yoona Kim of Manchester; his former wife, Debra (Cafro) Fagan of Andover; his best friend, Joe McCrea of East Hartford; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Private funeral services and burial at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tim’s name may be made to the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s, 357 McCaslin Blvd, Suite 105, Louisville, CO 80027.
