Tyler John Atwater

Tyler John Atwater, 18, of East Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Born in Hartford on April 5, 1997 he had been a life-long resident of East Hartford. Tyler graduated from East Hartford Middle School and was a member of the Senior Class 2015 at Howell Cheney Technical High School in Manchester studying in the HVAC program. Tyler loved working on automobiles and enjoyed riding All-Terrain vehicles, fishing, boating, and camping.

Tyler will be dearly missed by his father, John Anthony Atwater of Glastonbury; his mother, Shari Sue (Schlemmer) Atwater of Manchester; four loving sisters, Teresa N. Atwater of Manchester, Tricia S. Atwater of Manchester, Tori M. Atwater of Manchester, Angelina M. Atwater of East Hartford. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, John and Phyllis (Tenore) Atwater of East Hartford; his maternal grandparents, David and Ellen (Rainsberger) Schlemmer of Carrollton, OH; many aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and classmates. Tyler was predeceased by his infant sister, Shannon Louise Atwater.

Funeral service will be Tuesday (April 14th) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cambridge Drive, East Hartford. (All attendees are asked to please go directly to the church on Tuesday morning). Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, (Section K), Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Tyler’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday (April 13th) from 3-7 pm at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford.
