

Victor L. Masi, 93, of East Hartford, loving husband of over 48 years of Josephine (Cirone) Masi, departed this life on Sunday (May 13, 2012). Born in St. Johnsville, NY on March 27, 1919, a son of the late Everisto and Rose (Corso) Masi, he had resided in East Hartford for the past 48 years. He was employed for 35 years by the former Scherer Steel Company, Tolland Street, East Hartford where he retired as a Supervisor, and was a proud member of the Local 15 Ironworkers Union. Victor enjoyed working outside in his garden and yard, fishing and lobstering, and was an avid ""craps"" player. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas Masi of Windsor Locks, and Londo Masi of Hartford. Along with his beloved wife, Josephine, Victor is survived by a son, Victor J. Masi and his wife, Theresa, of Windsor Locks; three daughters, Rosemary Lang and her husband, David, of Alpine, CA, Linda Currie and her husband, James, of Encinitas, CA, Lori Benoit and her husband, Robert, of Tolland; two sisters, Carmella Sellitto of Newington, Jean Perzanowski of Berlin; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
