

Victoria (Szrom) Bujak, 85, of East Hartford, loving wife for over 56 years to the late Stanley Bujak, peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Manchester Manor with family by her side. Born in Hartford on March 12, 1929, a daughter of the late Joseph and Katarzyna (Owczarz) Szrom, she had been a resident of East Hartford since 1955. She was a graduate of Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Class of 1946. Victoria was a communicant of St. Rose Church, East Hartford and a member of the East Hartford South End Senior Center. She loved dancing, listening to music, and visiting area casinos. Most of all, Victoria took great pride in being a devoted and proud homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished the time with her family. Victoria is survived by her three caring children, son, Philip B. Bujak and his wife, Martee, of Plantsville, daughter, Kathy Flenke and her husband, Wayne, of Columbia, daughter, Cheryl Tully and her husband, Joseph, of Monroe, NY; and nine special grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She also leaves four sisters, Stephanie Martin of East Hartford, Agnes Zdrojowy of East Hartford, Annie Wolf of Hartford, Emily Palmese of New Britain; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be Thursday (September 18th) at 11:30 am from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 12 noon at St. Rose Church, 33 Church Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, (Section New B), East Hartford. Victoria's family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday morning from 10 -11:30 am at the funeral home chapel.
