Virginia Ann Kelley

Virginia Ann 'Ginny' Kelley, 78, of East Hartford and formerly of New Canaan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, (July 20, 2010). Born in New Canaan on April 21, 1932, a daughter of the late James T. and Mabel Kelley, she had resided in New Canaan for most of her life prior to moving to East Hartford over two years ago. Ginny was a graduate of New Canaan High School, and enjoyed caring for her indoor-plants and her beloved cat, 'Bagheera'. Ginny is survived by two daughters, Nancy Marie Erickson and her significant other, Jeffrey Breault, of East Hartford, and Laura Derrer of Naples, FL; a devoted brother, Gaynor Kelley and his wife, Diane, of Chicago, IL; a son, Christian Hausdorff; two grandsons; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A memorial service to celebrate Ginny's life will be held on Sunday, July 25, at 6 p.m. at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Sunday afternoon from 4-6 pm.
