She was born to Eudore and Marguerite (Nadeau) Nadeau on May 21, 1931 in Keegan, Maine. She grew up in Van Buren, Maine, attended Van Buren High School and Husson University in Bangor. She was the Van Buren Town Clerk and Town Treasurer for several years. She married her high school sweetheart, Rudolph, on November 25, 1952 and moved to Connecticut where she worked at Pratt & Whitney as a materials analyst for 27 years.
Vivian was a devout catholic and member of St. Christopher Church for over 60 years. She very much enjoyed crocheting and shared her talents not only with her family but also with the community, making baptism blankets, prayer shawls, and lap blankets for the veterans. She was also a contributor to many charities. She loved ballroom dancing, shopping sprees and trying out new restaurants. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and in-laws. Their journeys took them throughout the country, and she collected shot glasses from each location. She had quite the collection! But above all, she especially loved bragging about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. There were never enough shelves or tabletops for all the pictures she had of them.
She is survived by her two daughters, Beverly Collins and Barbara Lynn Tardiff. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Rudolph, her daughter Deborah Fallacaro, her son Mark Tardiff, her sister Joanne Nadeau, and her son-in-law Ronald Collins.
She leaves behind 6 grandchildren, all of whom brought her much joy, Jessica Lacasse and husband Patrick, Gregory Bottaro and wife Barbra, Elizabeth Klemonski and husband Kevin, Danielle Brower and husband Dave, Eric Bottaro and Stacey Brand, Nicholas Bottaro and wife Kristi, and 19 great grandchildren Chase, Avery, Elijah, Francesca, Gabriel, Avila, Joseph, Petra, David, Ryan, Brielle, Cody, Jackson, Ethan, Lucas, Gemma, Jonathen, Anthony, and Giovanni. She will be dearly missed by each of them.
