

William F. ""Billy"" Harrison, 47, of Rocky Hill and formerly of East Hartford and Glastonbury, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Hartford Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Billy was the loving husband of 16 years to Karen A. (Cronkhite) Harrison of Rocky Hill. Born in Hartford on October 9, 1967, a son of the late Allen I. ""Coach"" Harrison, Sr. and the late Dolores F. (St. John) Manke, he had been a resident of the East Hartford/Glastonbury area for most of his life prior to moving to Rocky Hill eight months ago. Billy was a graduate of George J. Penney High School in East Hartford, Class of 1985. He was formerly employed for 15 years by RICOH USA, and was a member of Crossroads Community Cathedral in East Hartford. Billy enjoyed playing Slo-Pitch Softball, bowling, and working on cars. He was also a former coach for his sons' teams with the East Hartford Little League, as he followed in his father's footsteps, and was a dedicated and loyal fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team. Most of all, Billy's greatest passion was being a ""Dad"" to his three children and an ""Uncle"" to his nephews and niece. Besides his beloved wife, Karen, Billy is survived by his three cherished children, Logan W. Harrison, Preston C. Harrison, and Keelyn B. Harrison all at home in Rocky Hill; a caring brother, Allen I. Harrison, Jr. and his wife, Sonia, of East Hartford; his mother-in-law, Angela (Nobile) Cronkhite of Rocky Hill; three brothers-in-law, Paul Cronkhite and Bobby Cronkhite both of Rocky Hill, Mark Cronkhite of Wethersfield; three special nephews, Cory A. Harrison of East Hartford, Austin and Joshua Cronkhite both of Wethersfield; one adored niece, Angelina Cronkhite of Wethersfield; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Delbert Cronkhite of Vernon, and a brother-in-law, Michael Cronkhite of Rocky Hill. Funeral service will be Saturday (June 20th) at 10:30 am at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with Pastor Donny Capps officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Friday (June 19th) from 4-7 pm.
