William Nugent

William E. Nugent III, 53, of Clearwater, FL, beloved son and brother, left his corporeal existence for Heaven on Thursday, (November 18, 2010). He was born in Hartford and graduated from South Windsor High School. Billy is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served alongside his older brother, Kevin, on board the USS Oriskany. During the past few years, Billy spent his free time helping other Vets apply for benefits and get care at the V.A. Bill volunteered on the Bay Pines, Florida VA campus as a shuttle driver. He played internet poker into the wee hours of the morning and enjoyed fishing on the Bay Pines VA campus. Billy is predeceased by his mother, Patricia; his mother, Geraldine; and his brother, Kevin. He is survived by his father, William; his sister, Gerri; his sister-in-law, Maria; his nephew, Kevin; his aunts: Phyllis Glenney, Stella Nugent, Cathy Groop, and Ginger Pangaro; his uncles: John Nugent and wife, Lorraine; C. Barclay Whitmore; and many cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday (December 20, 2010) at 7 p.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. Family and friends may visit the chapel prior to the service from 4 to 7 p.m. Procession to the cemetery will leave on Tuesday (December 21, 2010) at 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
