Yvette R. (Roux) Daigle

Yvette (Roux) Daigle, 103, of South Windsor and formerly of Vernon and East Hartford, went peacefully to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at her home with her family by her side. Yvette was the loving wife for 61 years to the late Roland Daigle. Born in Lewiston, ME on September 10, 1923, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Antoinette (Pinard) Roux, she had resided in East Hartford for over 40 years prior to moving to Vernon in 2007 and more recently to South Windsor. Yvette also enjoyed spending her summers in Liberty, ME for over 50 years at Lake St. George and many winters down in Dade City, FL.

Prior to her retirement in 1980, Yvette worked in claims administration for over fifteen years at The Hartford Insurance Company. A devout catholic, she was a former longtime faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Church in East Hartford and later at St. Bridget’s Church in Manchester. Yvette was a talented crafts individual who liked crocheting and sewing Afghans, quilts, and clothing for her family and friends. She also liked playing cards on the weekends with her family, reading, walking, playing bingo, coloring and doing other crafts. Most of all, Yvette will be most remembered as a quiet hard-working gentle woman who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and late husband Roland.

Yvette is survived by her son, David P. Daigle and his wife Sandy of South Windsor; her daughter, Celina D. Binns and her husband Brett of Gouldsboro, ME; three cherished grandchildren, Keith L. Daigle and his wife Megan of Farmington, Erica C. Goulet and her husband Phil of East Hampton, Drew Binns of Leesburg, VA; three adored great-granddaughters, Hannah Daigle, Kaylie Daigle, and Emma Goulet; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members, and dear friends.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 6, 2026, at 11 am in the chapel at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine. Burial will follow in Section 1 next to her husband in St. Peter’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
