Jennifer Nichole Blevins was born on January 2, 1973, in Chattanooga, TN, and passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 53. A longtime resident of Rossville, Georgia, Jennifer will be remembered for the way she could fill a room with warmth, laughter, and the kind of caring that didn’t stop at the people she knew—she had a heart big enough to reach strangers, too.
From the beginning, Jennifer stood out as a bright and capable child who did great in school. She proudly became a “Sundancer” on her school’s drill team—an early glimpse of the energy and spirit she carried through life, the kind that could turn an ordinary moment into something worth remembering.
Jennifer was a hard worker before she became disabled, and she took pride in doing what needed to be done. Prior to her disability, she worked for Lookout Mountain Pest Control, bringing the same steady effort and thoughtfulness to her work that she brought to the people she loved.
A devoted and loving mother, Jennifer is survived by her children, Robby Melford and Emma Cheaves; her husband, Brad Melford; her sister, Marissa Gaida; her mom, Nancy Helton; her grandchildren, Riley Cheaves and Dakota Frady; and many loving family members. Jennifer loved her family fiercely—when she loved, she loved hard—and that deep, loyal devotion will echo through generations.
Jennifer’s world was full of the things that made life feel alive: photography, crime shows, and most of all, music. She lived for her music—it wasn’t just something she enjoyed; it was a giant part of her life. With a passion for singing and a love for hanging out with friends, she brought people together with ease. She had the gift of gab and could strike up a conversation with anyone, and her sense of humor could turn even an average day into a story worth telling. Some called her the life of the party—and Jennifer likely would’ve had a quick, witty response to that, followed by a laugh you couldn’t help but join.
She was also an animal lover who took great care of her animals, showing that same compassionate tenderness in the everyday ways that often mean the most.
Faith was an important part of Jennifer’s life. She was a Christian first and foremost, having mainly attended Southern Baptist churches, and she carried that faith with a sincere, thoughtful spirit that showed in how she treated others.
The family is especially grateful for the love and support Jennifer received from her children: her son, Robby, who helped take care of her financially, and her daughter, Emma, who supported her daily needs such as errands, bathing, and homecare. Their care reflected the bond Jennifer built—one rooted in love, loyalty, and showing up for each other.
A Celebration of Jennifer's Life will be held on Saturday July 18, 2026, at 12pm. The family will receive friends one-hour prior beginning at 11am.
Jennifer’s beautiful spirit left a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
