We are glad over the last few years we had the opportunity to reconnect with Tim. We enjoyed many quiet days with Tim and his son Ethan at the lake house in Minnesota. Tim had more than one kayak on the roof of his car each time we watched him drive up. We had laughs and a few beers together…well John and Tim had a few beers anyway. Tim and Ethan came out fishing with us a few times. Ethan and Tim both caught a few big fish. We enjoyed some thunder and lightning on a few occasions in the evenings. We cooked a few meals as did Tim. He always seemed to be a happy man. We can still see him putting on his vest and carrying his kayak to the shoreline. Tim left us too soon…we will miss him. One day when we leave the earth, Tim will be there with the door to heaven open for us to join him.

I am proud to have called Tim my friend. The 2000 character length limit for this "memory" is far too small for me to convey my thoughts and a story about Tim. He touched my life in a way few have. I'm sure he did that for many others with his big heart and ready smile. I have posted my own (more than 2000 character) remembrance here: http://jeffyhog.blogspot.com/2018/03/timothy-jordi.html

Godspeed to you, my friend Tim.

We attended church with the Jordi family at Calvary Baptist Church in Granada, Minn. They loved to serve the Lord. I enjoyed working with Tim on church remodeling projects. Always joking and laughing together. In his faith and service for the Lord ,he was always willing to help. One of those times was helping me get a job and advance in the company. I was very grateful for his help during that time. Now that Tim has gone home to be with his Lord, I look forward to seeing his smile and laughter when we meet again. God bless all his family and may they find strength in the Lord at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our time with Jordi (Tim) was so “daily”... so normal, so expected, so comfortable, yet so very special. The part he played in our lives did not go unnoticed. Just a few weeks ago I had remarked to the kids at how thankful I was for his presence and testimony and the dynamics he brought into each and every day, with each one of our family members. He was the brother I never had - the Uncle (or Funcle as the the children fondly called him) our children never had. He was a best friend to every member of our family. No conversation was too silly, no child was too immature, and he saw each one of the children as an individual with thoughts, feelings, and a need to be heard and loved. To say Jordi was like family is an understatement. He was family. As the saying goes "Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what."

Pictures we'll never have in our photo album... you feeding Virginia - you were the only person who knew exactly how to make it fun for her to eat and genuinely didn’t mind the extra time it took... you with your Funcle shirt on the kids bought... sitting in your usual spot on our couch on a Sunday afternoon taking a nap... your monkey bread you loved to bring to church fellowships... you and the kids on a hiking or kayak trip... you challenging the boys to an arm wrestle...I do have the picture where I told all the kids to sit down and be quiet! Because you were very definitely one of the kids! ♥

The hole left in our lives is massive and I hope you knew how much this family loves and appreciates you. To have a friend like this is a once in a lifetime gift. I only wish you could see the outpouring of love by your family and friends, but I trust God is loving you and rejoicing at your home going as your life was a beautiful testimony of His love and grace.

Tim,
I will forever have the memories of us kayaking on the lake and how we got “lost”. We were gone for hours so as predicted mom sent out the search party. However, our navigation skills got us back without assistance. I truly enjoyed the talks and time we spent. You were and are an inspiration to all of us. You have left this earth too soon but I know you will bee watching and protecting all of us. God reaches down and only takes the best and that was you. You are a beautiful spirit. I can see you smiling and kayaking in heaven. Alex can show you the ropes but keep an eye out on him. Just know you are missed and loved by so many people. Thank you for being who you are and showing us and me what true strength is. Tim you are missed so very much. I am glad not only am I able to call you my cousin but also my friend.

Love always,

Susan

Tim wasn't just a brother he was also a best friend. He was always there
when we needed him. We became close the past several years, and he was
always looking for an adventure on the water or in the woods. When the trip
was over we would always "rest" (thanks Bro. Schoolfield). This is how we
looked after each trip. I will miss you Tim, you were a good man and friend
and a great father to Ethan. Your story was too short and many will not be
able to be blessed by you. We love you and will always hold you near and
dear to our heart.

Thanks,

John Jordi

Tim was one of our favorite nephew's. In the past few years he enjoyed spending a week or so with us at our lake place in Ottertail, MN with his youngest son Ethan. He loved his kayak. Circumnavigating the 3 mile by 5 mile lake provided him with great place to practice his craft. More often than not a good stiff wind out of the Northwest made it a challenging trip. At the lake he was able interact with his cousins, often getting into lively discussions on various subjects. We are truly going to miss him.
