Alfonso "Trevizo" Bolaños

Alfonso Bolaños Sr. was called home to our Lord on Wednesday March 8, 2023. Alfonso Bolaños Sr. was born May 23, 1935 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a longtime resident of El Paso, TX. He was employed by the El Paso Independent School District as a painter and retired after 29 years of dedicated service to the schools. He worked tirelessly from sunrise to sunset to make a better life for his family. Alfonso Sr. was an avid Dallas Cowboys and LA Dodgers fan. He loved Christmas with his family and of course making tamales. He was loved by many friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Esperanza Dominguez Bolaños, his son Alfonso Bolaños, Jr., mother, Guillerma Bolaños, brothers Eduardo and Jesus Salmon, sisters Guillermina Sato and Elena Salmon, He is survived by his children Margarita Bolaños Salazar (Benigno), Martin Bolaños (Dolores), Ernesto Bolaños, Cecilia Bolaños Paul, Esperanza Bolaños Carr (George), grandchildren, Michael Bolaños, Esperanza Bolaños, Martin Bolaños Jr, Veaney Salazar, Paris Salazar, Jaime Bolaños, Reba Marie Paul, Randel Paul Jr, Morgan Carr, Megan Carr, Matthew Carr, 8 great grandchildren, and Nephews and Nieces who loved him dearly. Pallbearers: Benigno Salazar, George Carr, Matthew Carr, Michael Bolaños, Martin Bolaños Jr, Jaime Bolaños, and Jevonte Bolaños. Honorary Pallbearers: Martin Bolaños, Sr, Ernesto Bolaños, and Jose Luis Salmon. Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2023 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm with a vigil at 7:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, March 18th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Ave, El Paso, TX 79903 with interment to follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 South Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79915.
