Alicia Cardenas

Alicia Perez Cardenas, 76, went to be with our Lord on July 17, 2017. Mrs. Cardenas passed away peacefully in the presence of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great¬grandchildren. Alicia was a devout Catholic and a member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church.

She was a cherished wife, daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Alicia is survived by her beloved husband, Jesus Cardenas Jr., with whom she recently celebrated her 57th wedding anniversary; sisters: Josefina Perez, Juana Mora, Connie Minjarez, and Rose Minjarez; brothers: Frank Minjarez, Romaldo Minjarez, Fred Minjarez and Daniel Minjarez; daughters: Teresa Cardenas, Lydia Hernandez (Rene), and Alicia Garcia (Steven); sons: Jesus Cardenas (Brenda) and Adam Cardenas (Wendy); 24 grandchildren:, Anthony, April, Adrian, Amanda, Amber, Alyssa, Agnes, Emily, Leah, Rene, Eduardo, Samuel, Thomas, Annabelle, Yessenia, Jennifer, Jesus, Alberto, Adrian, Julian, Angela, Allyson, Alexis and Isaac; 23 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews- all of whom will miss her gentle presence in their lives.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm, with vigil at 7pm at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 9:30am at St. Joseph's Catholic

Church, 1315 Travis St. Interment will be held at Evergreen Alameda Cemetery, 4301 Alameda Ave.
