Our Beloved Mother, surrounded by her loved ones, entered her eternal heavenly home January 10th, 2015.
Graduated from Jefferson HS 1954 Top 5%. A member of National Honor Society, ROTC, Tap Dance, Junior Blue LuLac and President of Y-Teens. Preceded in death by her parents Jose & Eva Miranda and brother Roy Miranda. She is survived by her husband Miguel Navarro; 2 daughters, Carmen and Lisa; 3 sons Michael (Teresa), Edward, Mando (Elizabeth); 8 grandchildren; brother and sister, Joe Miranda and Martha Almendarez; along with many nieces & nephews. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, Austin HS PTA President, and honored as a Life Time PTA Member. Employed by El Paso County Clerks Office for 15+ years. An avid bowler, great dancer, & loved “her” Spurs Basketball Team, Dallas Cowboys, UTEP Athletics. Her house was always majestically decorated inside and out for Christmas & Halloween. Mom always looked like a Classic Hollywood Glam Star, yet she would be the one to plan & commandeer our annual summer camping trips to Ruidoso. Iconic due to her sense of Style, Culture, Traditions and Family Values, and Progressive for her love of social media!!! A special Thank You to the Doctors & Staff at Sierra Medical Center ER, ICU, CCU, room #434 caretakers and DaVita Dialysis-Oregon Street. Visitation, Friday 1/16/2015 from 4:00pm - 9:00pm, with prayer service at 7:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central, 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral Mass Saturday 1/17/2015, 10:00am, St Joseph Catholic Church, 1315 Travis Street. Cremation to follow at a later date.
