Amalia L. Oliver

Amalia L. Oliver passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. She was 98. She came to El Paso at age 2 with her parents, Jose and Teresa Loya. She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Oliver, her daughter Lucille Oliver James, her sister Maria Luisa Delgado and her brothers, Jose and Rodolfo Loya. She is survived by her sister Guadalupe Dabraio of San Jose, California. Amalia is also survived by her children: Manuel Oliver Jr. and wife Velia, Molly Oliver Buttner and husband John, Bernabe Davis and husband Don and James Oliver and wife Mary. In addition to her children, Amalia was graced with 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Amalia was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Family members would also like to express their sincere appreciation to San Mateo Personal Services and caregivers: Alicia Alvarado and Lorraine Montiel. We would also like to thank Odyssey Hospice and their staff. The Rosary will be held on Monday the 11th of June at Del Angel Funeral Home, 3839 Montana at 7:00 p.m. The mass will be on Tuesday the 12th of June at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 1415 Dakota Street(79930). Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
