August 7, 1938 - October 8, 2018
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away in her home surrounded by family. Ana Maria was born in Anthony, New Mexico and was raised in El Paso where she met an El Paso police officer who would become the love of her life and husband of 57 years. She was a lifelong, devoted Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Assumption Parish since 1961. Her greatest pride in life was raising her five boys, who attended Our Lady of Assumption School and Cathedral High School. After her sons graduated from college, Ana volunteered for over a dozen years at the El Paso Cancer Treatment Center.
Ana greeted all with open arms and made everyone she encountered feel comfortable and special; to Ana no one was a stranger. She was generous, kind and fun to be around. She had a gift for creating great meals, was an amazing baker and kindly welcomed family and friends to her home. She loved to laugh.
Ana is survived by her husband, Luis Sr., her children Luis Jr., Michael, David and his wife Audrey, Jaime, and Oscar, and the grandchildren she adored, Luis III, Andrew, Abigail, Alexander, and Ashley, her brother Daniel Morales and his wife Teresa and brother Robert Moralez and his wife Teresa. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Luis and Lydia Moralez and her brother Luis Moralez.
Visitation will be at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Avenue on Thursday, October 18th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with Vigil beginning at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4800 Byron on Friday, October 19th at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery (East Shelter) at 11:00 am.
Mom was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
